Featured Project: Luton Hoo Estate

Luton Hoo straddles the Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. The unusual name "Hoo" is a Saxon word meaning the spur of a hill, and is more commonly associated with East Anglia. 1st Century

Part of the Luton Hoo Estate-notably the mansion house--has been converted into a substantial luxury hotel called Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf, and Spa, owned by Elite Hotels and opened its doors on 1 October 2007. Part of the restoration project involved rebuilding the second floor of the mansion, which was included in the plans drawn up by the original architects.

After a consultation period and assessment of what was required all roofing lead work including the front portico was replaced. Additionally all cladding and box guttering was replicated to its original design and replaced
